I am a licensed and ASHA certified speech language pathologist. With 30+ years of experience, I have worked with children with a variety of communication needs.
However, the greatest joy my career has provided me is helping young communicators find their voice while also helping little ones be understood.
I utilize a whole client approach to address the needs of my clients.
I believe that treatment should be differentiated to meet my client's individual needs, utilizing their strengths and interests. I include family to support the client to meet their full potential.
I use a calm and respectful treatment approach where I follow your child's lead and am able to be flexible to meet your child where they are.
It is the best reward to be able to bring joy to your child's life as much as it brings me joy to support them!

Shannon is our practice manager, patient care coordinator, and social media strategist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with two minors in Marketing and Journalism from Coastal Carolina University.
Shannon coordinates with our staff and families to ensure excellent service. She does all of our scheduling as well as communicating with families about any changes occurring here at Speech Warrior.
Shannon understands that in order to deliver excellent care, everyone needs to be in the loop, whether it is about the number of sessions or individualized treatment plan for each client.
She makes sure staff has ample information about a client before they even come in, ensuring that when they do the road to success is reachable from the start.
Most importantly to Shannon, she is a sounding board and non-judgemental listener of parents, grand-parents, or guardians while their children are in session.
She understands that for many, this is their only 30 minutes they will get to themselves all week. She allows it to be just as much about the family as it is about the child.
